Baby Kono IV: 35/36 Weeks and Guess Those Baby Stats (RE-OPENED)

35 Weeks
36 weeks
My phone has been blowing up the past few days with people wondering how things are going and are you, like, STILL pregnant??

Yes.  Yes, I am.

Things around here were radio silent last week because, ummm, well, I was dealing with some personal issues.  Some very painful and bleeding personal issues.

Okay, fine, let's just cut to the butt exploded.

You just reread that, didn't you?  And now you're thinking, did she just seriously write that?

Yes. Yes, she did.

As I snuggled into my ice pack last Wednesday night Collin looked up from his post on the couch and laughed just a little, "I don't know what you are going through, but it doesn't look fun. I actually feel bad for, is it like you ate too many jalapenos, or what?"

", it's more like I was de-seeding jalapenos and forgot to wear gloves.  Oh, and I was using my butt.  And then I sat on the knife."

What I'm saying is, where are the hemorrhoid care packages?  Someone get on that!

So after spending weeks hoping I would go into labor, I spent last week hoping I would not. The thought of pushing anything in that area made me want to fall over and die.  But the good thing about this whole experience is that every other pregnancy complaint (well, except for the acid reflux) has magically disappeared.  Funny how that happens, isn't it? While, yes, the constant pressure on my bladder is uncomfortable, I am feeling the best I have felt in weeks!  And I'm very, very grateful for that!

So....what other news is there to report?  Not a whole lot, really.  I have officially graduated from the high risk doctor, woo hoo!  And have officially stopped taking the weekly progesterone injections. I took my last one a week ago today.  I was trying to get out of that one but my OB really wanted me to take it....reduces the NICU stay, blah, blah, blah.  I know, I know, it was the right thing to do for Miss Stella, so I did.  But today he didn't even bother trying to talk me into it, "You're not taking your injection this week are you?" "Nope." End scene.

As of tomorrow I will be 36 weeks along.  As of Wednesday I will be the most pregnant I have ever been, ever and there is no doubt in my mind that that isn't largely due to all of your thoughts and prayers.  Thank you, guys! Thank you so, so much!

Okay! Now! Since I have officially passed all of the dates that were originally guessed in our Baby Stat game, let's re-open guesses, shall we???? All previous guesses are now null and void.  Here are the rules once again.....

 Baby Stats Guessing Game
We're going to play the same way we played last time, here are the rules:

The Game:
Each person will have four guesses, one for each of the following:
  • Date of birth
  • Time of birth (indicate am or pm)
  • Weight
  • Length

The Scoring:

3 points will be given for each accurate guess.  If no one guesses correctly, 1 point will be given for the closest guess(es).

The Background:
Just a little information to help you with your guesses:
  • As of tomorrow, Tuesday, October 20th, I will be 36 weeks.
  • Keaton's stats were as follows:
    • Born at 36 weeks
    • Time of birth: 3:37 am
    • Weight: 6 lbs 5 oz
    • Length: 18 1/2 inches
  • Hutton's stats were as follows:
    • Born at 34 weeks 4 days
    • Time of birth: 7:07 am
    • Weight: 5 lbs 10 oz

  • Nolan's stats were as follows:
    • Born at 35 weeks
    • Time of birth: 6:20 pm
    • Weight: 6 lbs 6 oz
    • Length: 18 inches
The Prize:
A $5 Starbucks gift card. Or, if you are local, I'd love to meet up at The Mission Coffee House, it's my new favorite stop.

While I've feeling really good lately, and actually enjoying pregnancy for the moment, I'm still very hopeful that soon I'll be making an announcement to let you all know that Stella has arrived! And don't worry, when that time comes, we will make sure you all know about it (promise....even if I have another hemorrhoid.)
